What should I carry for my first appointment?

Always bring your past medical files, details about your past surgeries, past and current medications,
record of your blood group, details about your food or drug allergies (if any) etc.
Please keep the prescriptions and files given by the clinic safely. Loss of medical records may disrupt
continuity of care.

What happens during my clinic visits?

During your first clinic visit, you will be registered as a new patient and your basic details, contact
numbers and demographic data will be collected.
During every clinic visit your Height /weight and vitals (Pulse, BP) will be checked before the
consultation.
After the consultation, appropriate lab sample collection (blood and urine) may be done.
Counseling by a Dietician will be given.

How frequently should I visit the clinic?

Frequency of visits depends upon your medical condition. Generally, Diabetes patients are advised to
check their blood sugars every month and visit the clinic. Sometimes, you may be asked to visit more
frequently if you have a complication or medical condition which needs frequent monitoring.

Can I take alternate or herbal medicines for Diabetes?

Some alternate or herbal medicines (as natural food products or as tablets) may interact with the
allopathic medicines given by your doctor. Kindly disclose this information to your doctor when you visit
the clinic.
Some natural remedies for diabetes may be effective. But, it is recommended not to stop the allopathic
medicines or insulin prescribed by the doctor. Kindly discuss with your doctor if you have any doubts or
problems.

What should I do if I get any side effects due to the medicines prescribed?

If you already have allergy to any tablet or medicine, kindly disclose this information to the doctor
beforehand. This will be recorded in your medical files and the medicine will be avoided.
If you develop any side effect to the medicines prescribed during the course of the treatment, stop the
medicine immediately and visit the clinic at the earliest.
